Tokens & Parts
Lofi Drive has two currencies: Tokens for unlocking and buying, and Parts for upgrading your cars in the Workshop.
Tokens
Tokens are the spendable currency you earn while playing. They are stored in your wallet and saved to your account when signed in.
Tokens are used for:
- Buying new cars in the Garage.
- Purchasing upgrades in the Workshop.
- Some cosmetic unlocks, such as trails.
Common ways to earn Tokens:
- Driving distance and time.
- Collecting glowing token pickups.
- Discovering biomes, landmarks, and hidden locations.
- Completing challenges when they appear.
- Using cars with token multipliers.
Token Packs are also available in the Shop for players who want to progress faster. These purchases are handled through Paddle and are tied to your account.
Parts
Parts represent the components, scrap, and upgrade materials you gather while driving. They are not purchased with real money; they are earned by playing.
Parts are used for:
- Workshop upgrades that improve car stats.
- Specialized tuning for specific biomes or abilities.
Common ways to earn Parts:
- Knocking down trees and wooden props.
- Completing certain challenges.
- Exploring near landmarks and hidden caches.
- Using wood-focused or tree-breaking vehicles.
Parts are separate from Tokens. While Tokens are used to unlock new cars, Parts are used to make the cars you already own better.
Earning tips
- Match the car to the biome — vehicles with biome bonuses earn faster in their preferred areas.
- Upgrade wisely — a few upgrades on a car you drive often is better than many upgrades on a car you rarely use.
- Explore — new discoveries are a major source of early Tokens and Parts.
- Pick your challenges — some challenges are easier in certain cars; switching vehicles for a specific challenge can pay off.
